birthday boy

We had Drew's 1st birthday a few weeks ago and it is so crazy to me to think he is 1, it has flown by so fast, my little baby boy is growing up! On his birthday andy and I were playing back all that happened that day and then when he was in the NICU we were thinking of those days, and just thanking the Lord for what He had done. Drew is such a blessing to us and I dont know what our life would be like without him, when we have days that arent going well, we just look at him and he has that smile on his face that makes it all better :) here are a few pictures of our baby boy :)
Andy and I with Drew....I know I look bad, but after 33 hours of labor there just isnt much you can do about it....but it was worth it :)
Drew in the NICU...its funny because when I look at his NICU pictures, I can still have that sense of smell from the room, it didnt stink, it just had a smell to it that I remember like it was yesterday

he had his birthday outfit on the day of his birthday :)

i know, i know...its been too long

yes, it has been too long since I've posted, but I cant sleep so why not post over the past few months. First off, Harper is doing wonderful, Praise the Lord, she is home and healthy and beautiful! I am doing good, just staying busy! My 11 1/2 month old, Drew, is keeping me busy, plus being 27 weeks pregnant doesnt help, but I manage :) Everything is going wonderful, Andy and I are planning Drew's first birthday party which is Saturday and I cant wait! His birthday is March 4th, I cant believe how fast it has flown by. I will be posting pictures of his party :) Little Avery is just growing in my tummy, I think she is going to be a big one! I am huge!! I am wearing shirts now that I wore with Drew two days before I had him and they are starting to be too small for me now! Something just isnt right about that! We go for an ultrasound on Tuesday to see her and we cant wait! Andy is already crazy about her, so I know she is going to be rotten, but so is Drew! Drew is his daddy made over!! Life is wonderful and I couldnt ask for a better family in the world, we are truly blessed. In January we took a cruise, my parents got it for us for Christmas, and had the best time! Drew stayed home with some of our family, so it was like a second honeymoon for us, only I was 20 weeks pregnant. I told Andy we have got to wait a few years for baby #3....he said 2 years max....my record isnt very good, I get pregnant way too fast, but I guess that can be blessing at the same time. Hope you all are doing wonderful and I will keep you updated better, but working 40 hours a week and taking care of 2 boys(thats would be andy and drew) and keeping the house clean and dinner cooked and being pregnant, can be a little tough :) lol.....but I wouldnt change it for the world. Here are a few pictures from our cruise

My heart has been hurting

Here lately my heart has hurt so much and I have just cried for these people, I don't know if I've been crying too much because I am pregnant and very emotional or it really just breaks my heart, I'm sure its both. About a month ago a couple from our church lost there baby, she was scheduled to go in for a c-section on a Wednesday and went to the doctor Monday to find out the baby didn't make it, the cord was wrapped around his neck twice and feet once and it was there first little boy, she has two older girls, and once I found out it broke my heart, I didn't know them very well because they are new in our church, but the thought of the pain and hurt she was going through hurt me, they were in church the following Sunday and I just started crying just looking at her, I wanted to go tell her we were praying for them but I couldn't because I was way too emotional and she didn't need some crazy emotional girl coming up to her crying her eyes out when she was the one with the hurt and pain....I had no words....what do you say?......Two weeks later I found out a friend of mine lost her baby the day after Christmas, she went in for her check up to see if she had dilated any and they found no heart beat, this one really got to me, Katye is my age and it was there first pregnancy and it just tore me up really bad, I cried all day and I cried at night before bed, I just didn't understand why all of this was going on and I know the Lord is in control and He works in everything, but it made me question and wonder why....I guess that is just human, but it still hurts....I realized on March 4, 2008 (when drew was born) that being a mommy is the best thing in the world and when your child is in pain you're pain and you want it to be you and not them but sometimes it just doesn't work that way....I look at Drew every day and thank the Lord for him, he is such a blessing and the Lord has blessed Andy and I more than I could ever describe. We are having a little girl, Avery, in May and I cant wait to meet her! Having a baby changes you, not just your schedule, but you. Babies depend on us so much, we are the ones to provide for them and they are wonderful gifts from God and some babies make it and some don't, but as a Christian I believe the ones that don't make it we will see one day. I told Katye that I will see Scout in Heaven one day...I know right now he is playing and giggling and he is a true angel....please pray for them, that the Lord will continue to comfort them and wrap His loving arms around them...

-be blessed-

i love christmas :)

I love Christmas, this time of year is so joyful and exciting, and this year is our first year to celebrate Christmas with our 9 month old Drew and I cant wait! After Thanksgiving we go pick out a tree at the tree farm and I cant wait until Drew gets older and he can pick our tree out and I love adding an extra stocking onto the fire place and Santa comes! Here are a few pictures of Christmas so far... :)
