Hope for the helpless

Tonight our SIS (Sisters In Service) group from church met and I just enjoy meeting with these ladies. We meet once a month and every month I am always looking forward to it. We average about 12-15 ladies a month, and I love this group so much. We are women who just connect, we are Christians, mothers, wives, etc...and we just know how to connect, sometimes without even saying a word, we just sit and listen. These ladies are a group of ladies who will just listen and pray for you. Its a time where ladies can share things that they cant share at home, they come and pour out there heart to us and it amazes me to see God work. The past two months we have had two ladies come and share their hearts. One lady has had her children taken away from her and lives with an alcoholic husband and another lady has lived with her alcoholic boyfriend for 14 years and feels like she cant leave because she has no place to go. My heart hurts for these ladies, I don't know what they are dealing with but I DO know that God works in so many ways and I believe that lady will get her children back and the other lady will find a place for her and her son to go. Tonight after SIS I thought of the song from Third Day, Cry out to Jesus..I love this song. I love the words "there is HOPE for the helpless and REST for the weary, LOVE for the broken heart, there is GRACE and FORGIVENESS, MERCY and HEALING, He'll meet you WHEREVER you are, Cry out to Jesus...." such an awesome song....I pray that these ladies will seek the Lord in these times. God is good!!

To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

Chorus

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith and love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering

Chorus

When your lonely (when you're lonely)
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus

To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

Chorus

Wow.....

Wow, it has been too long since I have even been on here! I feel like I have no time anymore! With working full time and 2 little ones, my life gets kinda crazy! But I wanna start reading blogs again and posting, it’s my "free time" :) So....life is wonderful! Here are a few pics of my family :) My babies are growing up too fast!! Drew is at a age (2) where he can do it all by himself and he thinks he doesn’t need mommy, but once he cant figure it out, he comes to me :) or his daddy. Avery (21months) is my sassy one, but I love it! She has such a funny personality, but I always wanted a prissy little girl, I'm sure I will not like that one day ;) but they are my world! Hope you are having a wonderful week and I hope to be back soon!! :)

Game time

I am so excited about this coming weekend, we are taking the whole family down to see LSU play Auburn. This will be Drew's first time in Death Valley! Avery is going to Baton Rouge with us but not going to the game, I think she is too little for some crazy Tiger football :) I will for sure post some pictures :) This is Drew and my dad last year watching LSU play. My family are HUGE LSU fans, always have been and always will be :)
